Created in 1968, it became the Argentine Section of the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) in 1979.

Goals

• Creation and interpretation of contemporary music.

• Commission of chamber works to different composers.

• Musical education for the people.

• Professional formation of the musician in new technics.

• Researchs on contemporary music.

• Difussion of Argentine and Latin American music both in Argentina and abroad (CD's, lectures).

• Relation between the music of our times and other expressions of the arts and the society.

• Support to the Grupo ENCUENTROS for their international concerts tournées.
